Farmers Markets

All the Freshest Produce Is Here

During the warmer parts of the year, farmers markets begin to sprout all across PA. You can find the freshest Swiss chard, the crispest apples and, sometimes, some homemade baked goods thrown into the mix. So, swing by a farmer’s market and stock up on the freshest organic PA-grown produce.

Off-season, no problem, as the state boasts some of the finest public markets in the country. You’ll find a bounty beyond produce including artisanal desserts, craft coffees, delectable cheeses, and wares from local makers. Some of these gathering spots even offer how-to classes for the creative class or adventurous amateurs.

Treat Yourself to Some Local Flavor

Historic Staples

Farm markets in Pennsylvania are a tradition almost as old as the state. Many farmers markets celebrate more than 100 years in operation. With that much experience, you know you'll pick up some exceptional finds. The Easton Public Market in the Lehigh Valley has existed for almost 300 years and hosts fun events like yoga and cooking classes.

Find everything you need to set your table at the Reading Terminal Market. This venue was established in 1893 and houses produce, meats, table linens, fresh-cut flowers, and some of Philadelphia's most iconic eats.
