The Amish Village

In the heart of Lancaster County, close to Sight & Sound Millennium Theatre, is a 12-acre village offering the total Amish Experience. Learn about Amish home life, customs and traditions, and how they adapt to the modern world around them. There are two ways to experience The Amish Village: enjoy a guided Farmhouse Tour, followed by self-exploration of our Village Grounds; or enjoy our 90-minute Backroads Bus Tour. For the best experience, combine the two for a day of entertainment and education. Village Grounds include: • Barn with animals • Village Store filled with Amish-made crafts and souvenirs • Smokehouse Market with Amish-made goodies • Blacksmith Shop available for custom programs and Lunch and Learn series for groups • One-room Amish Schoolhouse (real Amish teacher seasonally) Open daily March – December, with free parking. Bus tour times vary. Please call for current departure times. • Open weekends only: January – February (weather permitting).
