Prepare to tackle the towering rock walls of Ohiopyle State Park's Meadow Run Climbing Area along the Lower Youghiogheny section of the Great Allegheny Passage! Advanced climbers can tackle the more rugged Breakneck Bridge. Note: Rappelling is prohibited from areas in the park other than these two designated climbing areas.

If you’re looking for a challenge, you can tackle Ralph Stover State Park’s High Rocks area for 150 feet worth of sheer cliffs. With about 100 routes that range from moderate to advanced difficulty and consisting of both top rope and traditional climbing, this rock climbing experience is suitable for all skill levels. Reward yourself at the top with unbeatable views of the surrounding forest and Tohickon Creek. The park partners closely with Doylestown Rock Gym and Philadelphia Rock Gym so you can feel confident rocking this outdoor adventure.
7. Beam Rocks in Forbes State Park

See some of PA’s state parks at a new angle and take advantage of this rock climbing experience at Forbes State Park. Beams Rocks offers 60 feet of both bouldering and roped rock climbing routes. The rewarding picturesque view of Somerset County makes this climbing experience extremely popular while in the Laurel Highlands.

Make your way up a beautiful outcropping of quartzite in Michaux State Forest. The White Roscks offer climbers beautiful views of Cumberland Valley and 125 feet of elevated fun.

Where history meets the great outdoors, this large stone outcropping of granite boulders is best known to rock climbers as Devil’s Den. Located below Little Round Top and one of the most famous battlefield locations at Gettysburg, this climbing experience offers six boulders and a small cliff.
