Hike, bike or just enjoy the scenery. Beautiful Rose Tree Park is situated on 120 acres of ground and has many outstanding features including rolling hills, wood land, picnic areas, a nature trail, a former steeplechase area and a picturesque gazebo. There are three historical buildings, two of which are used to accommodate several County Departments and one of these houses (the old Rose Tree Tavern) is on the National Registry of Historic Places. Spring and Fall bring fairs, kite flies, poetry reading and numerous cross country activities. The park also rents out garden plots for the aspiring gardener. Visit in the winter and marvel at the the Festival of Lights. The display features multicolored lights on beautiful live trees along with Snoopy, Frosty, Santa and his reindeer. These characters delight the crowds of people who visit the mall area of the Park.
