A former industrial site in southeastern Pennsylvania, the wildlife habitats and forests of French Creek State Park have grown back over time. Boasting nearly 8,000 acres, the park has over 35 miles of trails for visitors to hike. Six Penny Trail offers a glimpse of ruins from the park’s history, while Kalmia Trail, an easier hike, takes you through mature forests scattered with mountain laurel.
