Hammond Lake is a 640-acre lake, Tioga Lake is a 498-acre lake and Cowanesque Lake is a 1,085-acre lake; all in Tioga County with unlimited horsepower boating opportunities and good fishing. Surrounded by lush forested ridges, the lakes offer recreation for the entire family. Primary boating opportunities include moderate-draft fishing boats, sailboats and recreational runabouts. There are access areas at the lakes with loading docks, surfaced ramps and large parking lots. All personal watercraft operators and passengers, sailboarders, water skiers or anyone being towed behind a boat must also wear a life jacket. The entrance to Hammond Lake (Ives Run) is located along Route 287 north of Wellsboro and south of the town of Tioga, the entrance to Tioga Lake (Lambs Creek) is off of Route 15 just north of Mansfield, and the entrance to the Cowanesque Lake (South Shore) is off Route 49 west of Lawrenceville. A valid PA fishing license is required.
