The Brownsville Historical Society operates historic Nemacolin Castle on Front St. in Brownsville, Pa. Come and visit us! Step back in time to America's frontier period, the trading post era of 1789, to the Colonial era of 1814, and to the Victorian era of 1850. Located just off U.S. Route 40 (locally called Market St.) in Brownsville, PA, Nemacolin Castle is also a registered Pennsylvania historic landmark. Tours of the castle interior and its spacious grounds are provided by an enthusiastic group of volunteers throughout the year.
