This local museum is located in a historic tavern built around 1835 by Abel Colley. It served as a family home as well as a tavern for many years and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. Today, it is the headquarters of the Fayette County Historical Society, which was founded in 1982, and holds a small museum and local history library.
