The historic railroad station in New Freedom serves as a reminder of our past. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. New Freedom Station was restored to its 1935 appearance in 2003 and a railroad museum is open to the public. New Freedom is the highest point on the Heritage Rail Trail.
