The Arboretum occupies five acres on the grounds of the Lancaster County Historical Society. Sporting over 100 varieties of mature trees, Tanger Arboretum is open to the public at no charge as a place of rest and relaxation. Its constantly changing form and texture provide an inviting spot to spend time enjoying the beauty of nature. Maps and tree labels allow visitors to take self-guided tours through the collection. Group tours and a new Children's Tour of the Trees are also available.
