Pennsylvania’s Local Development Districts (or LDDs) offer several financing programs for small- to medium-sized businesses that want to expand or for new business ventures. Hospitality and tourism are two of the industry categories eligible for the LDD business financing programs. Eligible applicants may receive loans of $100,000, $200,000 or up to $1 million. Working with local banks and industrial development groups, LDD staff puts together a customized financing package for each business. Specific terms and conditions vary according to funding source.
Pennsylvania’s seven Local Development Districts are designated by the Appalachian Regional Commission and serve 52 of the commonwealth’s 67 counties.
