Industry Associations
The US Travel Association is the national, non-profit organization representing all components of the $704 billion travel industry. US Travel’s mission is to promote and facilitate increased travel to and within the United States. The US Travel Association was instrumental in gaining passage of the Travel Promotion Act — the first-ever US travel promotion and communications program to attract more international travelers to the U.S.
The mission of the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association is to promote, protect and improve the hospitality and tourism industry in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. On July 1, 2012, the Pennsylvania Restaurant Association (PRA) and Pennsylvania Tourism & Lodging Association (PTLA) entered into a joint venture agreement, combining their memberships and unifying the hospitality and tourism industry within one organization—the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association (PRLA).
By combining the industry's resources, PRLA conveys a unified voice of Pennsylvania's hospitality and tourism industry to the Commonwealth's citizenry and elected officials. Its membership represents various components of the hospitality industry, who are major contributors to the economic growth of the Commonwealth.
The following is a list of additional state associations that represent many segments of Pennsylvania’s travel and tourism industry.
