PA’s state forests provide almost 265 miles of designated ATV trails with a variety of terrain guaranteed to produce the adrenaline rush that comes from an epic ride, while many private trails offer ATV tours in PA well into the fall. 1. Mines & Meadows ATV/RV Resort
Wampum
For a truly epic and unique ATV experience, visit Mines & Meadows ATV/RV Resort to travel 250 feet underground to ride in total darkness guided only by your headlights as you explore a labyrinth of trails and three-acre underground lake of the abandoned limestone mines near Pittsburgh. 2. Elk County Riders ATV Trail of Dreams

With 140 miles of trails across 6,000 acres of land, four-wheelers, dirt bikes, and jeeps all have plenty of room to explore the area’s rolling green trails. Experienced riders are invited to tackle Rock Run’s black diamond trails. Regardless of skill level, be sure to stop along the way and take in the spectacular views from atop the Allegheny Mountains.

10. Rausch Creek Racing

Whether riding a dirt bike, ATV or UTV, become a member of the Rausch Creek Trailriders to enjoy full access to the 8,500-acre property of Rausch Creek Racing, including their weekly guided ATV tour near Harrisburg and regularly scheduled social/riding events. 11. Piney Rail Riders

The purchase of a $10 day pass good any day during the season helps support the efforts of the non-profit club, Piney Rail Riders, as they work to preserve 23.7 miles of trail. Comprised of devoted ATV advocates, the group’s mission is to save places where it is legal to ride ATVs and UTVs respectfully in PA.
12. Whiskey Springs ATV Trail
Renovo
The 50-mile Whiskey Springs ATV Trail in Sproul State Forest is one of the forest’s two designated ATV trails. Open to ATVs and side-by-sides, discover several play pit areas along your journey left from previous mining activity. You’ll want to make pitstops during your adventure to take in the beautiful sights along the trail.
13. Bloody Skillet ATV Trail
Orviston
The Bloody Skillet ATV Trail is Sproul State Forest’s second designated ATV trail offering riders a variety of trail riding experiences including trails through deep forestland, across re-vegetated and unvegetated former strip mines, and along forest roads. Watch for roaming wildlife such as deer, black bears, and wild turkey on this 38-mile ATV tour in PA, which is a must-do the next time you find yourself in central PA.
14. The Lannding
